We got rid of unnecessary ingredients like added sugar, artificial flavours, gluten, preservatives, emulsifiers, lecithin, palm oil, and coconut oil so all you're left with is quality chocolate.

Our Peruvian beans come from Ucayali River Cacao - a central fermentary that works with cocoa farmers along the Ucayali River outside of the city of Pucallpa.
While the region has been troubled with narco-trafficking and the presence of a militant group, Ucayali River Cacao has partnered with USAID and Alianza Peru to give local farmers access to an alternate market to cocaine. Working with ~400 smallholder farmers with 1 to 3 hectares of land each, they buy wet cacao at a premium price and manage the processing, fermentation, and drying of beans.
We pay premium prices (higher than the commodity and ‘Fair Trade’ prices) for their cocoa in an effort to support ethical and sustainable farming practices free from slave / child labor and environmental degradation.
