We got rid of unnecessary ingredients like added sugar, artificial flavours, gluten, preservatives, emulsifiers, lecithin, palm oil, and coconut oil so all you're left with is quality chocolate.
The only sugar in our chocolate is natural sugar from milk. Our chocolate is rich in fibre.
Our Mexican cocoa beans come from Hacienda Jesús María – an organic cocoa farm in Southern Mexico run by the Cacep family. Along with cocoa, they grow coffee, vanilla, oranges, and more.
They work directly with 80+ families and indirectly with 300+ families and their growth has allowed them to help create more than 30 micro-businesses. Their mission is to rescue and publicize their cultural and artisan values while preserving and promoting ecological awareness of the environment.
We pay premium prices (higher than the commodity and ‘Fair Trade’ prices) for their cocoa in an effort to support ethical and sustainable farming practices free from slave / child labor and environmental degradation.
